Turok: not extinct
Dinosaurs mean two things to Arena. One, Jurassic Park. Two, ’90s Nintendo game Turok. All credit to Spielberg, we can live without seeing the ‘dismembered arm’ scene again – and JP2, let’s face it, was shit. Turok, on the other hand, is a dino-revival we’d chew off our own arms to see. And as it happens we have managed to get a preview of the new version.
Here’s the blurb:
“Joseph Turok, former black ops commando, hunting down war criminal Roland Kane across a dark cinematic universe. The plot thickens when Turok’s spaceship crashes down on a raging dinosaur-infested planet and he must fight for survival against the deadliest CGI dinosaurs ever seen.
“With up to 16 player multi-player and realistic AI dinosaurs and human enemies, Turok’s expansive weapon collection (including his knife and bow and arrow from the popular comic book series) have never been put to better use.”
And now, some pictures of the Spice Girls without make-up:

Turok is released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in February 2008.
