Mini Anden
Back in the 1980s, Arena had something of a crush on Bonnie, the big-haired, jumpsuited technician from the original Knight Rider, whose job it was to repair KITT’s turbo boost every time it got knackered and laugh heartily at David Hasselhoff’s joke at the end of each episode.
Now Knight Rider has been revived in the States, and Swedish model-turned-actress Mini Anden got to follow in the footsteps of our adolescent fantasy recently when she appeared in an episode of the rebooted series, and found herself acting opposite the motormouthed motor.
“It was kind of funny,” she told Arena. “Even I was going, ‘OK, and now I’m chatting to the car.’ It was definitely a new one for me.”
The 30-year-old made her name lending her smokey eyes to a succession of advertising campaigns, with a CV that includes labels such as Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan and Gucci. Now she’s treading the well-worn path from catwalk to camera, with recent roles in Entourage, Chuck and Tropic Thunder.
And, obviously, talking to a car.
You can see more of Mini Anden in the January issue of Arena, on sale now.
