Isn’t it Bionic
Admittedly, it’s irony only by the Alanis Morissette school: a black fly in your chardonnay, rain on your wedding day, a Slater sister becomes the Bionic Woman. But there it is: Michelle Ryan, formerly of Eastenders, has hit the big time in America playing the title role in the new series of The Bionic Woman.
The story goes something like this: Jaime Sommers (Ryan) is hit by a car, and put back together with experimental medical technology that gives her special powers. She has a hot nemesis, and an unruly teenage sister. And if the episode where Ryan has to act like an American acting like a Brit is a bit confusing, these pictures show she’s come a long way from Albert Square…

This show was cancelled in the United States, mainly because nobody watched it.

It was cancelled in the US because of the writers strike. They left it to long to return to filming. Michelle Ryan signed up for a longer contract than she actually did. Shame as it had real potential to do well.
