The new Arena
We at Arena are concerned for James McAvoy. He’s just had his head between Angelina Jolie’s legs, yet he doesn’t seem to have enjoyed it. In fact, in our August issue, on sale now, he tells us he prefers shooting people.
Perhaps the wham-bang-thank you-maam carnage of his new bullet-bending blockbuster Wanted has affected him. To make sure he’s OK, we quizzed him about everything from Steven Spielberg to giving the Thundercats inner demons (snarf!).

Could Arena perhaps fund an expedition to the big, bad world beyond the M25 for its staff at some point in 2008? It appears that the writers of your ‘20 Smuggest People’ are totally unaware that Alex Salmond is currently smug because he DOES run Scotland, having won an election… oh… a year ago! I know Scotland isn’t on the Circle Line, but Holyrood being the main seat of power in the UK outside Westminster, I did think this info might just have filtered through the impenetrable wall of insularity which runs alongside the North and South Circulars….
