Win day tickets to the O2 Wireless Festival
Hyde Park, London, 3-6 July
The ‘coolest festival in the heart of the city’ plays host to Jay-Z, Fatboy Slim, Counting Crows, Mark Ronson, Beck, Hot Chip, The Hold Steady, Underworld and more. The four-day, four-stage event will also be the only event played by veteran Morrissey, who promises “a thundering bill of tight nerves and suavity and all your favourites…” Click here to win tickets and you can pick your date.

Knebworth, 5 July
“Has God played Knebworth?” Noel Gallagher once asked, comparing his own fame to that of the Almighty. Arena has no idea, but if we were omnipresent, we’d be paying special attention to the Hertfordshire venue on 5 July, as Bjork makes her only UK festival appearance this year for Wild In The Country. As well as the Icelandic headliner, WITC will feature Foals, Soulwax and a DJ session from Mylo. There’s an alchemy theme to this year’s T In The Park, with The Chemical Brothers and We Are Scientists both making an appearance at the Scottish event. And there are nuggets of gold in the rest of the line-up to suit almost any musical palate: Primal Scream, The Prodigy, the Zutons, Hot Chip, the Fratellis, Amy Winehouse, Counting Crows, Kings Of Leon, Rage Against The Machine and The Raconteurs to name a few. You might not have heard of the Hydro Connect Music Festival, but you will be familiar with Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, Gossip and the Manic Street Preachers. The festival’s impressive line-up – which also takes in the likes of Mercury Rev, Spiritualized, The Coral, Elbow and Goldfrapp – as well as special features like a speakeasy café, high-class snacks (venison burger, anyone?) and a champagne tent, has dedicated musos ready to sell their souls for a ticket. Not that you need to: the Inveraray Castle event is sponsored by Scottish Hydro Electric, and will be carbon-neutral.
